As an introvert, I often wonder how I ended up in a profession that requires being social and connecting with people. However, growing up in the eighties and nineties, I was fixated on hair and fashion in magazines and on MTV. I knew there was no other world I’d rather work in. Straight out of high school, the salon became my second home. After earning my cosmetology license, I went full throttle into the industry and quickly learned how special it is to provide a place for self-care.

I've had the privilege of working alongside many talented stylists, from Los Angeles to my current home at Fringe Salon in Scotts Valley. The Santa Cruz mountains have been my home for 20 years, and I love meeting and working with people in this diverse community. My number one rule is to listen and fully understand my clients' goals and desires, and then the creative process begins.

Continuing my education keeps me inspired and up-to-date with current trends and products. Social media now plays a significant role in our industry, and staying tuned in is key to staying current. When asked about my favorite service to offer behind the chair, I always say hair coloring, cutting, and styling – I just can't choose one! I enjoy the diversity throughout my day and learning new techniques throughout my career to keep the creative juices flowing.
